RARE Antique Brass or 8kt Gold Filigree Enamel Tote Purse Pendant
Most Incredible Antique Art Nouveau brass or 8kt gold filigree enamel handbag / tote bag purse pendant. There are tiny enameled flowers and butterflies all over the bag and the filigree is absolutely exquisite. Even the sides of the tote has the enameled flowers. The colors are rich and there is no enamel loss at all. This has the bail to put it onto a necklace already attached and it is soldered close. It measures 1 3/4 inches tall x 1 1/2 inches wide. I'm not sure if this is brass or a 8kt because I tested it with 10kt solution and it faded slowly which usually indicated a slightly lower karat. This looks Bohemian or W. German but could also be Austrian or French; all I know is that it is beautiful and a wonderful bonus for any jewelry collector. It is in excellent condition but the handles are not symmetrical because they bend rather easily. 100 times better in hand than the pictures.
